21 Titbits of Inspiration

image of bridge with text the past has no power of the present moment eckhart tolleLike many people, I love reading articles and books about the law of attraction, happiness, the power of thought and general tips on maintaining a positive mindset.

I have a cupboard full of books written by people like Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Rhonda Byrne, James Redfield and Pam Grout.

I also visit the library quite frequently as I have a 12 year old daughter who is an avid reader. We both love having a browse through the books at the library and seeing what it is we can stumble across on any given day.

Another thing that tickles my fancy is all the little quotes and sayings that you read or see in memes. They are short and to the point, they make you think and can make you smile and they are easily remembered.

So in line with the whole keeping it short, I won’t bang on too long here. This little article I’ve put together is a compilation of a few quotes that I’ve come across that I really love and I hope you do too. As a warning, some of these are deeper than others. Sometimes I just like to throw in something for a laugh..

  • thanks for sharing those insightful (and amusing) quotes Toni- I never get tired of reading quotes. Much in little. How about ‘When our inner vision opens, our horizons expand’ Louise L. Hay. Or ‘All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Arthur Schopenhauer. Doesn’t that sound like mankind’s general reaction to anything new?….;)

Thanks for sharing Linda! Yes I love Louise Hay, and I agree people absolutely do oppose things that they don’t understand or ideas that are new to them. I think many a great inventor has been ridiculed for what he or she is trying to do when they first develop an idea. I always try to keep an open mind, it’s more fun that way as well 🙂

  • thanks for sharing those quotes with us Toni… I love reading inspirational quotes – I believe they are important for everyone and can apply to any situation. I love both no.11 and no.12 🙂
