As human beings we naturally have the desire to seek out more for ourselves and those we care about during our life journey and sometimes this involves a big change of some kind.
Making big changes in your life involves needing to shift out of well-established habits and patterns that you have usually practiced for quite some time.
As Tony Robbins says ‘If you do what you’ve always done you’ll get what you’ve always gotten’
So we decide to make a change, we know what we want to achieve, we get all the necessary resources required for the change, we are pumped full of enthusiasm for this exciting new challenge we have set ourselves and then…
BANG! You hit a speed bump, something that you didn’t expect suddenly stands in the way of your exciting new goals that really slows you down. It could be:
- That diet you started is being bombarded with a sudden flurry of invites to morning teas, parties, drinks and dinners.
- The weather has changed and all of a sudden it’s really, really hard to get out of bed at 5am because it’s so cold outside of your warm comfy bed.
- Your website that you have spent hours and hours getting set up for your new business suddenly crashes and your advertising account gets shut down on Facebook.
- The new subject you’re studying to help further your career is not making any sense and you’re quite sure you are about to fail.
It all seems like the odds are against you and it would be oh so much easier to just quit..
What is it at this point of wanting to just give up, you can think about and know to your core that your goal is still worth fighting for?
The main reason you so wanted to make the change in the first place. The one thing that you know is more important to you than the latest obstacle that has popped up to challenge you and hinder your progress.
That Is Your Why
Everyone needs to have a Why that they are completely committed to, a why that is more important than anything else that can ever get in the way.
In this video I talk about what my ‘Why’ is and how that keeps me going and motivated to overcome any hurdles I encounter in building my own successful online businesses as a digital entrepreneur.
So What Is Your Why?
I’d love you to leave me a comment below and let me know what changes you’re making and what is it that drives you to keep going. What is your why?
Feel free to share this post with anyone you know who is serious about making some changes in their life too who you think would find this helpful too.
Here’s to your success!
