
Abundance Mindset: How to Recognise and Receive It in Your Life
When most people hear the word abundance, they think about money in the bank, cars in the driveway, or dream holidays. But abundance is so much more than numbers on a spreadsheet or milestones you can tick off. It’s a state of being.
You don’t need to “become” abundant. You already are.
Think about it. Your body breathes thousands of times every day without you asking it to. Your heart keeps beating. Your hair grows. Your brain fires millions of signals in the space of a single moment. Look outside and you’ll see the same proof everywhere: trees, grass, clouds, waves, wildlife. Nature doesn’t ration itself. And you are part of nature.
Abundance is your natural state. The real challenge is allowing yourself to recognise it, receive it, and rest in it.
What Does an Abundance Mindset Really Mean?
An abundance mindset isn’t only about what you have; it’s also about the state you allow yourself to be in.
Letting your nervous system rest and be at peace
Allowing ease without guilt
Relaxing without fear of judgment
Trusting that you don’t need to constantly “earn” rest or freedom
Signs You’re Blocking Abundance
A good question to ask yourself is this:
👉 Can you stay relaxed on the couch when someone else walks into the room, or do you feel the need to jump up and look busy?
For many people, rest is only permitted after exhaustion, depletion, or sickness. That mindset keeps your abundance thermostat set too low.
Remember:
You don’t need to prove your worth through struggle.
You’re not responsible for other people’s lack.
You can be the lighthouse, showing what’s possible simply by living it yourself.
How to Live Abundantly Right Now
When I began allowing myself to feel abundant, even before my circumstances “proved” it, my life shifted dramatically.
Here are a few examples of what changed when I raised my abundance thermostat:
Hiring a stylist and personal trainer
Buying a new car and starting home renovations
Booking a holiday to Europe, plus solo trips to Bali and India
Hiring a cleaner and gardener so I could focus on what matters most
Restructuring my business to see clients only three days a week
Starting work after 10am so I could wake naturally, walk daily, and get to the gym
None of this happened because I worked harder. It happened because I gave myself permission to live abundantly now and aligned my choices with that decision.
The Abundance Thermostat: How Much Will You Allow?
We all have a kind of “thermostat” on abundance. The amount you allow yourself to have determines how much actually shows up.
If you allow more ease, you’ll allow in more money to pay for it.
If you allow more time, you’ll start noticing opportunities that give it to you.
If you allow more support, you’ll see doors open that were always there.
When you raise the setting on what you’re willing to receive, the universe responds.

Where are you already abundant in your life that you haven’t fully acknowledged?
Where might your “abundance thermostat” be set too low?
What would shift if you gave yourself permission to turn it up and receive more ease, rest, and support, without apology?
