What I Learned at an Abundance Festival in India
Why Abundance Already Exists and What Determines How Much You Receive
If you think abundance is something you have to create, earn or work harder for, you aren’t the only one.
Most people want more.
More money. More opportunities. More support. More ease. More freedom.
But after attending an abundance festival in India, one thing became very clear to me. Abundance already exists. What determines how much you experience has far more to do with what you allow yourself to ask for, receive and hold onto than anything external.
This experience for me was not about adopting new beliefs or following a spiritual framework.
It was about observing how deeply our inner permissions shape our external reality, especially in business. It brought clarity around why capable, intelligent people still struggle with money, ease and receiving, even when everything looks like it should be working.
Abundance Is About Allowing, Not Creating
One of the biggest insights that stayed with me is that abundance is not scarce and it is not limited. There is not a finite amount of money, success or opportunity that people are competing for. Abundance already exists. What varies from person to person is their capacity to allow it.
That capacity shows up in three simple but powerful ways. What you allow yourself to ask for. What you allow yourself to receive. And what you allow yourself to hold onto without guilt, fear or self sabotage.
This is why two people can have the same skills, similar businesses and even similar revenue, yet have completely different experiences of abundance. One feels supported and spacious. The other feels under pressure and constantly bracing for loss. The difference is not effort or intelligence. It is permission.
Why Business Reveals Your Relationship With Abundance
Business is one of the clearest mirrors for abundance because it exposes what you are comfortable receiving. Not just in revenue, but in how much you pay yourself, how supported you allow yourself to be, how hard you believe you need to work and how much ease and stability you permit.
You can be good with money and still under-receive. You can be successful and still operate from scarcity. Business does not punish you for this. It simply reflects what you believe you are allowed to have.
This is why business is such a powerful space for personal and spiritual growth. It brings unconscious limits into the light.
Creating Abundance Does Not Take From Anyone Else
One of the most limiting beliefs I see, especially in ethical and conscious people, is the idea that if they have more, someone else has less. That abundance is a zero sum game. It is not.
Creating abundance for yourself does not take it away from anyone else. Everyone has the same capacity to generate abundance through value, creativity, service and exchange.
When you allow yourself to receive more, you are not making others poorer or less deserving. You are showing what is possible.
Holding yourself back does not serve the collective. Expansion expands.
The Inner Patterns That Block Abundance
At the festival, we worked daily on releasing what are called samskaras. These are deep imprints or conditioning that shape what we believe we are allowed to have. Three patterns stood out to me most because I have worked through them personally and I see them constantly in my clients.
The first is fear of loss. This is the fear that if you get more, you will lose something.
That abundance makes you vulnerable. That stability is not safe.
This often shows up as self sabotage after success, pulling back after a good month or staying in survival mode even when things are working. This is not about ability. It is about creating safety while having more.
The second is karmic debt, which in this context simply means unresolved guilt or shame. Anything you believe you did wrong. Times you feel you hurt someone. Moments where you think you took too much or benefited unfairly.
When guilt has not been met with radical acceptance, it quietly limits what you allow yourself to receive. Abundance does not stay where guilt lives.
The third pattern comes from conditioning between the ages of eight and twelve. This is when many people learned the unspoken rules about having, power, freedom and expression.
What happens if you want more? Whether it is safe to stand out. These are not logical beliefs. They are emotional conclusions. Unless they are brought into awareness, they continue to shape your relationship with abundance well into adulthood.
Why Business Is Part of Spiritual Evolution
This is why I believe business is not separate from spiritual growth. Business does not let you bypass or hide. It shows you exactly where you are limiting yourself.
Money more than anything else reveals what you truly believe you are allowed to receive. Not as punishment, but as an invitation. An invitation to expand your capacity, release guilt and feel safe with more.
Abundance Is an Inner Permission
Abundance is not about becoming someone else. It is about allowing more of what already exists. You do not help anyone by holding yourself back. You do not become more virtuous by staying small.
When you allow yourself to receive more, you expand what is possible for others too.
